We almost didn’t overlay the toilet tiles… The original ones were decent, and colour-wise, our new tiles look pretty similar. But we chose to overlay anyway, and here’s why. We wanted texture. That subtle tactile feel that adds warmth and dimension even in a small space like the bathroom. 💰 Definitely not the cheapest choice. But every time we walk into this space, we feel it was the right one.

Can you believe we actually have 4 different tiles in a small bathroom space? It may sound chaotic but trust us, it’s all intentional! Dry wall tiles – a soft matte finish with just a hint of texture - clean, modern, and calming. It pairs perfectly with our LED mirror, allowing the soft lighting to bring out the beauty in this tile.

For our featured wall (aka our wet wall) we went with something rougher and more textured as we really wanted this to feel a little special, inviting a mini spa moment every time we shower.

The dry wall and featured wall coming together under niche LED lighting ✨

Floor tile - a love at first sight. Dark grey base with soft white veining, perfectly paired with our sintered stone vanity top.

Last, wet floor tile – we originally planned to use the same as our dry floor, but our ID suggested switching to something rougher for better grip and so we did! They’re all within the same tonal family but a play with texture, finish, and feeling. It may be just one bathroom, but it’s one we truly love. Would you dare to mix 4 tiles in one space?
