Today, we're excited to share a closer look at our entrance area—especially the details of what we used and how we designed the cabinet to make the space both functional and welcoming. The first thing you'll see as you enter is this full-height cabinet. It’s not just for looks—it cleverly hides our DB (distribution board) and electrical riser, while also serving as shoe storage. This shoe cabinet has 3 doors—2 for the shoes we use daily, with the top shelves holding occasional pairs like party shoes or winter boots We organize our shoes in clear containers from Muji—it really helps keep things tidy. And to be honest, I actually fit more than one pair in a single container 😅 When the containers get soiled from dirty soles, I just wipe them down with a tissue—quick and easy. When the containers get soiled from dirty shoes, I usually just give them a quick wipe with tissue—it’s simple and keeps everything looking clean. Oh and a quick tip—if you’re customizing a cabinet, ask for adjustable shelves! We used the AA track system, and it’s been so useful for switching up the shelf height based on what we need to store. Super practical! The last door is where we keep extras: guest slippers, extra pads, and random shoe bits. Keeps everything in one spot and easy to find! We turned the DB/electrical riser area into extra storage by adding shelves inside. It’s now where we keep our handheld vacuum (with the charger), Nespresso recycling items—so I remember to hand them over during deliveries—plus umbrellas, reusable bags, and some spare masks. Super handy for everyday use! Thanks you for reading! I hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration to create a well-organized, functional entryway in your own home too
