Checkered wall and make it yellow!
It's one of of highlights of our home. These are all handpainted by me. There was a lot of tapes that was used.
Tips: remember how checkered wall is supposed to be. You have a tap every square and not tape line by line. Or else it'll turn out different.
I used a laser leveler to ease the whole process to make sure that is is straight. Though I would say that some people just free hand it and would be okay for an unleveled checkered. You do you!
Our little corner in the living room.
The stool was supposedly for the kitchen to reach high places but it is more perfectly used here.
We are a no TV household hence we don't need a TV console table. So we used this to fit all the wires in at the bottom of the stool.
If you're buying the stool you won't get the same design as this is hand painted by me! So yeah, that's the DIY part 😉
Arranging our corner!
Here's how the top looks like. Just a simple design. I used an Acrylic medium to seal it but of course you can use Mod Podge too.
The lamp is very important ad for comfy days, we turn it on instead of using the big lights. It of course matches the theme Yellow for our living room!
Revamping our cat tree!
The DIY? I redid the cat tree. All of it.
Pulled everything off and tolerated the dust and dirt that covered my whole floor. No regrets as my cats love the new one.
Couldn't throw it out as it has a lot of memory for me but it was so terrible.
Tips: buy a proper jute string. If you want to save up, use any available cloth you have.
For me, I used my old sofa! I cut them out and did all the new wrappings for the tree. Definitely made me feel less guilty throwing out my old sofa.
