Our dining space where daily conversations and connections happen over heartwarming food or simply a cup of coffee (or maybe wine) 
When designing this area, ensuring ample natural light was a priority. It should also be close to the kitchen to minimize the distance we need to walk when serving meals. The rigid beam above was also curved to soften the overall look of the space, adding a more refined and gentle touch to the design. 
Since hacking Bedroom 3 was neither cost-effective nor functional, we chose to place the dining area next to the living room, where it benefits from abundant natural light. 
There's something really nice about having breakfast in the morning sunlight which we believe sets a positive tone for the day. The warm, natural light enhances the dining experience, making it not just a place for meals but also a serene spot to begin and reflect on our day. 
To optimize the space further, we incorporated a built-in settee that not only offers generous storage but also includes power outlets for our steamboat and BBQ sessions. It is a convenient spot where we can easily bring our laptop over for work too. This setup maximizes both functionality and convenience, making the dining area a versatile and enjoyable space. 
Aligning with our home’s color palette, we selected a dining table with a black ash wood veneer and steel accents. We also chose the same laminate for the settee and our DB box to maintain a cohesive and streamlined look for the space. 
For a bit of playful contrast and visual interest, we intentionally selected mismatched chairs, which add a unique and vibrant character to the dining area. Recessed lighting were also used rather than pendant lights to keep the space feeling open and uncluttered. 
The dining area is a space where we occasionally host family and friends. To keep it versatile and inviting for these gatherings, we chose a simple design that allows the focus to remain on enjoying good food and meaningful conversations. Ending the post with korean fried chicken (￣﹃￣)
