Here's some tips to up your home aesthetic games using items we all need in our home! 
Something as small as drawers, knobs and switch covers can make a difference. We got some of the designs overseas 
These knobs are probably our favourite - we got them from Venice! Coincidentally the blue on the knob matches the blue laminate in our kitchen :) 
We also like the grooves on these handles. 
This is an ikea cabinet and we swapped out the original black knobs to these gold round ones to match with the rest of the house. 
Since we are going to have switches in our home anyway, we took the chance to use interesting switch covers upgrade the look of our home. We went with less conventional ones, something like vintage looking toggle switches. 
In our kitchen, cooking utensils like spatula, tongs, spoon is a must so we thought we might as well choose those that can add on to our home aesthetics. We love these ones from modori and it's a bonus that they are magnetic (we can easily put them on our kitchen hood!) 
Same for glasses and jugs - we took the chance to go with colourful and cute ones to match our home design! The cocktail glasses are from NZ heh. 
We even have colourful coasters that are hand-knitted, which we bought from Vietnam! 
A close of how they look - they are in such happy colours! 
We also have faux plants all over our home to add a splash of greenery, without the hassle of maintenance. Here's a faux olive plant at our living room.. 
... and even faux flowers at our dining table. 
In our living area, we also added throws and cushions of different patterns to cozy up the space. We also feel that our curtains also help to complete the look and we really love the thermal shaping done by our vendor. 
A last shoutout goes to our black and white bamboo blinds. We really think that different curtains/ blinds can really change the look of homes and since most home owners will install them, might as well take the chance to choose a design that can elevate your home aesthetics!
