This little corner of my home sits right between my dry pantry and dining area. What used to feel like just a passageway now feels intentional and styled. The standing mirror reflects the living area, making the whole space feel larger and more connected. Instead of being just a transition point in the house, it has become a small moment where the home opens up and feels inviting.
One of my favourite details here is the small display shelf beside the mirror. It’s where I place little things that make the home feel more “us” — small decor pieces, plants, and colourful objects collected over time. These small pops of colour bring life into the neutral space and make the area feel cheerful. The greenery especially softens the corner and adds a sense of freshness that makes the home feel more vibrant.
I’ve always loved keeping the colour palette warm and calming. The soft cream walls and light neutral tiles create a bright, airy base that allows the space to feel open throughout the day. At the same time, the deeper wood tones from the cabinetry and doors add balance and warmth, preventing the space from feeling too stark. I like how the contrast is subtle — it keeps the home feeling cozy while still looking clean and modern.
