We skipped the typical TV console bench and went for something more seamless: a built-in that sits flush with the TV wall.
From the front, it reads clean and minimal. No bulky furniture, no extra surfaces collecting dust and clutter, just a flush wall with the TV mounted above. It kind of reminds us of a modern fireplace setup, but reinterpreted in a more contemporary way.
A bird’s eye view of our living area layout: the built-in console is integrated into the wall, with a small vertical niche beside it to maximise storage without adding bulk.
Behind the brown tinted glass panels is where everything actually lives. We used crates to store and organize our routers, cables, and some of our cat’s grooming items. The glass softens the view so you don’t see the mess directly, but everything stays accessible.
A small detail we really like — there was some leftover space behind the “console,” so our ID turned it into a vertical niche.
It’s now where we keep daily grab and go items like packet tissues and hand sanitizers, especially convenient since it’s near the main door.
