  • DIY Limewash TV Feature Wall
We had a few DIY projects in our first home together, and one of it was this Limewash feature wall! The wall itself (i believe is) around 1.8m in width and 2.6/2.7m in height, and took us about 1/2 a bag of large lime wash paint which we purchased from Aratamete for $138. We also knew that it takes a special kind of brush to achieve the lime wash patchy effect, so we also bought 2 large brushes from them, for $39 each. Therefore, the wall came to cost us slightly more than $200, while we were quoted more than a thousand by our ID to have professionals do it. Frankly, I think it was so easy and fun to DIY this wall ourselves. If you have the time to do it, you should totally do it yourself instead and save some money!

To bring a pop of colour to our very neutral palette living room, we added some fake books and a vase.

Here's a close up of the lime wash paint, right after we were done painting it. You can see that it is darker in colour at the bottom, where it is still wet. The colour lightens as it dries.
