We incorporated different types of lighting in our home to create a cozy atmosphere. All homes usually have task lighting to ensure they are brightly lit, but we also added on some accent lighting in different areas of the home! We installed additional wall lights, pendant lights, under-cabinet LED strips and track lights. 
Starting from the common toilet, we added a wall light at the side of the mirror. 
A close up pic of the wall lamp - it's dark blue/ gold and we love the fluted glass design. 
Next up, pendant lights! We have one at the corner of our balcony-like area of the home. We went with a pendant light to create a focal point at the corner, where we've placed our faux palm plant and high chair. 
This is probably our favourite light in our home! We love how the lamp is exposed, which gives a slight industrial charm, and complements our black and white blinds. 
Another wall light we have is at the bedroom. We have two of these - one of each side of the bed. All our accent lights are warmer (compared to task lighting) for a more soothing look. 
A close up pic - it matches our bed frame and the simple design works well for a bedroom. 
We also added LED strips under our cabinets, as suggested by ID! She's right that it really helps to elevate the look. We added them at our coffee corner... 
.. and the kitchen arch! 
Another pendant light we have is at our entryway to the master bedroom. This was selected to match our arch door and the patterned tiles leading to the door. 
Similar to the toilet lamp, we went with one that has a fluted cover. We love how it scatters light across when we turn it on at night. 
And finally, we also have track lights in a couple of areas of our home - living room and bed room. Track lights are useful for those that are unsure of the exact spot for lighting because we can just shift things around and even add on additional lighting once we have the track installed!
