We installed reading light above our head area, one on each side for either of us who wants to stay awake to read / use our phone while the other wants to sleep. This way we get some light without disturb the other's sleep. So this is how it looks like from the front.

This is our display cabinet with tinted glass. It gives a nice reflection of the sunlight on the other side, yet maintaining its tinted transparency in the day.
Now the tinted glass seems crystal clear when we switch on the lights inside. The warm light gives clarity to the inside without cancelling off the day light.
We frosted our bathroom bi-fold glass door so as to cushion the brightness from inside during the night, especially when all lights are off, you do not what to disturb the other party during their sleep when you're using the bathroom.
