We spend alot of time in our living room and it’s our cosy corner when we are winding down. Or recharging over the weekend. 
We have a floor chair that we got as a temporary chair solution before our sofa arrived but we haven’t stopped using it then. We enjoy have coffee by the settee and catching up daily. 
We have day and night curtains which can be drawn to dim down the brightness which makes it more cosy. Blinds are a popular option for living room these days and we did consider it, but being able to block out sunlight almost fully is better for how we use the space. 
We don’t have the best view but the sunset in the evenings are great. Nigel enjoys sitting here and looking out the window to relax or zone out. Our settee was also planned with this in mind.
