We ditched non-stick pans almost 2 years ago and we frequently get questions on our cast iron pans from Frying Pan Jiu!
We love how we can use them to serve our food directly too.
Really happy to find this brand as I really wanted pans with detachable handles but most options were for non-stick pans. I didn’t want to keep replacing my pans every time the non-stick coating wears off.
To be honest, it was intimidating to switch to a non-non-stick pan as an amateur home cook. However it was not as difficult as I thought! Just need to make sure the pan is heated well enough (I use the water droplets test) and look at how my eggs came out ☺️
But even if I accidentally burn something, or if something sticks, it’s easy to clean it up! I don’t have to worry about damaging or scratching them!
Also there’s no need to use soap to clean as it may remove the seasoned layer which makes it non-stick naturally. Cast iron pans age really well.
We simply use Mamaforest stainless steel scrubber! This scrubber is going to last us forever too!
And to prevent it from rusting, we have to heat it up to ensure that it’s completely dry before keeping it in our drawer.
We just set a timer on our induction hob! Easy!
