Our home is FILLED with lots of Shopee finds. In this compiled list, you’ll see some of the more note-worthy ones! What led us to finding dupes is simply due to budget constraints. To us, we don’t mind if it’s a knock-off so long as it saves us a couple of bucks and does the job! 💰 (Retailers might not be too happy with us on this one 👀) 
Starting with our biggest purchase yet, our sofa. Context: We’ve been searching for a modular sofa that could convert into more seating arrangements to accommodate guests. That’s when we came across the Teddy sofa from Omhu — however, the starting price for the smallest size (which was 200 CM, ours is 150 CM), was a whopping 1645 EUR (excluding shipping)! 😵 We tried searching on other websites but found that it was still too pricey for the 150 CM version (as seen in pic). So Syaf came up with the idea to image search the sofa on Shopee just for funsies; not hoping that she’s actually gonna come across a dupe. Lo and behold, there it was! The verdict? Quality: 10/10 Upon assembly, it looked amazing (for said price)! A year later, it still looks as good as new — with the exception of some wrinkling in the fabric; since it’s corduroy, it’s not too obvious. Firmness: 8/10 If you’re looking for a soft, comfy sofa, this isn’t for you. It’s pretty firm. Recommend?: 7/10 ✖️ Too small - We got the love seat which was meant for 2 pax, but even when we’re both seated on the couch, it feels squeazy because the back/arm rest takes up most of the space. ➖ Maintenance - Cleaning wise, I would recommend using a vacuum/steam cleaner instead of taking out the cover and dumping it into the washing machine; only ‘cause it’s a HUGE struggle to put it back in. All in all, it’s a solid couch for the mid-century modern/eclectic aesthetics! 
Up next we have the TOGO/caterpillar sofa. Quality: 8/10 Threading came loose and the foam is starting to lose its shape after a year. Firmness: 5/10 It’s reallyyyyy comfy. Most people don’t wanna get up once they’ve sat down. Recommend?: 10/10 It’s affordable, comfy and looks like a piece of art! What more could we ask for? 
Literally 90% off? 😱 Quality: 9/10 Came with some scratches. Sturdiness: 7/10 It’s lopsided but steady when weight is added! Recommend?: 9/10 Have been told it feels weird having a hole in the centre. 
Syaf kinda regrets getting this in white because she uses it as her vanity stool 😅 Quality: 10/10 Sturdiness: 9/10 Shakes a little every now and then. Recommend: 10/10 
In summary: If there’s an item that you really love but think it’s way beyond your budget, do an image search on Shopee/Taobao/Lazada before committing to the purchase! Chances are, you might actually find a dupe at a fraction of the price!
