Meet my new deep-clean buddy 😮💨 Bought a spot & fabric cleaning machine with a decent size tank, perfect for carpets, rugs, sofa + mattress touch-ups. 
Test victim: my cute egg rug 🍳 Light-colour rugs get dirty sooo fast… and normal vacuum sometimes can’t save it 🥲 
Step 1: Start with the brush head Use the brush attachment to loosen dirt first (esp. for fluffy rugs). 
Step 2: Trigger = spray time Press the button to spray water/solution onto the rug (don’t over-soak — small area by area is best!). 
Step 3: Suction + extract After spraying, go over again to suck the dirty water out. This is the satisfying part 🤌 
Tip: Go slow + overlap Move in straight lines, overlap each pass a bit (like mowing grass 🌿) = more even cleaning. 
You can literally see the difference 👀 The rug looks less yellow-ish / more lifted. Great for anyone who loves cream + white tones at home. 
Step 4: Check your water tank Dirty water tank is the proof 😂 After cleaning, empty + rinse (so it won’t smell). 
Narrow head = corner lifesaver Perfect for edges, corners, sofa seams, mattress sides — the areas that always trap dust. 
The moment of truth 🥲 Look at that dirty water… This is from just ONE rug. Imagine what’s sitting inside fabric sofas & mattresses. 👉 New homeowner reminder: Surface looks clean ≠ actually clean. 
Before vs After 👀 Top: Slight dull / uneven tone Bottom: Cleaner, brighter, more even Light-colour rugs especially need regular extraction, or they slowly turn yellowish over time. 
Drying time ☀️ After extraction, the rug will be damp (not dripping). I hang it to air dry — good ventilation is key. Tip: Don’t place back on floor immediately to avoid trapped moisture.
