We decided to go with track lighting throughout the entire house as it provides sufficient brightness to cover all areas. The adjustable spotlights also allow us to direct the light to specific spots, making it both functional and versatile.
But for living, i would suggest getting slightly longer than 2m for ultimate brightness
Along the hallway, the track lighting provides enough brightness that we didn’t have to install additional ceiling lights or worry about adding more electrical points.
We chose a 2m track, which is sufficient to illuminate the entire hallway nicely.
Same goes for the kitchen!
Kitchens can get quite dark, especially at night—even with white cabinets. But the track lighting we installed is so bright that I don’t even need to switch on the LED lights under the cabinets.
We’ll be sharing more about this soon!
We went with 12W downlights, but honestly, I’d recommend choosing lights that are specifically designed for bathrooms. I also opted for tri-colour lighting, though in hindsight, I don’t think it’s really necessary—if the light ever spoils, I’d probably just switch to daylight.
Bathrooms can still feel quite dark even with an LED panel installed. With the downlights alone, I find myself needing to turn on the LED panel as well because they’re not bright enough. So it’s better to go for proper bathroom-suitable lighting that provides sufficient brightness on its own.
