Today we’re talking about our lamp placements around the house and how we have spaced them up for ultimate *vibes*. We’ve (ok, she) had an obsession over cute lamps so the whole house is littered with them, but putting them in optimal positions around the house requires a bit of skill to achieve that visual unity.

Spacing between placements First is ensuring the lamps are not too saturated within one space but are properly spaced out around the home. Having too many lamps together creates visual dissonance and clutter, with too much happening within the same area. We made sure to scatter our many lamps around the areas we wanted to create a subtle glow, so that together our whole house can have that soft touch.

Varying height placements Next is ensuring our lamps are also placed at different heights. This adds another visual dimension to the house as our eyes are naturally attracted to lit areas. Having bulbs of light at different heights thus creates that visual interest and depth as the eyes get to wander throughout the house, upwards and downwards.

Put lamps with similar light hues together This is an important one aesthetically and practically. Lamps don’t all have the same hues (warm to cool) so pairing the right ones together in the same space is definitely important. That doesn’t mean all your lamps need to be tested for the same warmth, it just means the lamps should have some synergy between their colours for more visual unity. It’s the same with wood - different tones are ok, but similar warmness in hue will be complementary. That’s it for this post! We hope it inspires you in some way 💡
