We saw a fengshui master recently and picked up a few beginner home fengshui tips—some of them are pretty practical too!
Tip 1: Don’t have the head of your bed facing the toilet. Besides bad fengshui vibes, the light and noise can mess with your sleep if someone goes in and out at night. Also, avoid placing your bed under a beam—it’s said to create pressure and restless sleep.
Tip 2: Your sofa should have a solid backing like a wall or cabinet. It gives a sense of support and security—plus it just feels more grounded when you sit!
Tip 3: Place your stove along an outer wall. This helps with ventilation and is said to prevent your household energy from being trapped.
Tip 4: Try not to have your front door open directly to a full view of your house. It’s believed to let energy escape too quickly—and you lose a bit of privacy too.
Got any fengshui tips of your own? Share them below—we’d love to hear!
