Hello :) Read on to find out how we transformed our BTO’s kitchen and dining area! 
Similar to the rest of the house, we stripped/hacked the default BTO vinyl flooring and tiles, and laid 900x900 glazed porcelain tiles for the entire kitchen and dining area. You’d also notice that the wall of the kitchen was not even; and there were a lot of awkward bumps, which we thought was really unsightly. 
We evened out the awkward bumps, and built our carpentry such that they were all of the same width. For the backsplash and countertop, we opted for Dekton, which not only looks luxe, but has proven to be very practical as well. 
For the big pillar on the right (which houses some pipes), we converted it also a shallow, but still functional cabinet for our laundry supplies. 
As for the bomb shelter... 
It faces the kitchen, and we requested for a fake door to hide it, so that the entire kitchen looks clean and seamless! 
Moving on to the dining area! There was initially a huge space between the kitchen and dining area. 
We decided to build more carpentry there to house our oven, and to have more countertop space for cooking. We also put in some bifold windows, which we can close to keep in the cooking smells!
