Right from the start, we knew that we wanted an undermount sink as water easily accumulates on the countertop whenever we wash our hands. Our ID was against having carpentry vanities in the toilets because carpentry wood is not waterproof and may warp or rot in a high humidity, high moisture environment. Hence he brought us to look at integrated sinks which are made of PVC - water resistant material widely used for pipes. 
We were sold because an integrated sink meant that it is seamless without any rim that will trap grime or turn mouldy! 
These days there are many integrated sinks out there with cabinets in all sorts of colors. We chose a light wood one to match with the rest of our home. It even comes in nice rounded corners!
