At our TV console, we have a 1m Nexen Slim surface power track. It’s an area where we anticipate to have high usage of electrical appliances and we would like to have the flexibility of placing appliances where we want it, rather than being fixated to the vicinity of a power socket. The Nexen Slim Surface power track certainly catered splendidly to this need of ours beautifully and seamlessly with their ultra-slim design that blends into our interior.
You can add, remove, or reposition adaptors anywhere along the track with a simple twist and lock. Perfect for evolving layouts and multifunctional spaces. If you need more adaptors, you can simply buy them and afterwards, it’s just plug and play.
This 1m track can support up to 11 Nexen adaptors - which, honestly, should be MORE than enough for everything you want to power from the TV console area!
In our bedroom, which we furnish into our gaming/work desk, we have a 1m Nexen Slim Powertrack. This is from their Arise collection! :) It’s a really lovely collection with interesting colors for their power track, such as moonstone, avocado and sakura. This color in the photo collage is Oat.
What caught us by surprise is that there’s LED light strip beneath the powertrack!!! You can also change the color of the LED light from white light, to cool light to warm light - perfect for creating the ambience you need, be it to cosy up the room or making the desk space bright for work and study, Nexen has got you covered. Power your devices, appliances, and gadgets effortlessly while maintaining a clean, modern look.
You may factor in the installation of the powertrack as part of your electrical works.
Now… this is for all other individuals who wants to install power tracks but renovation has long been over! Can you still install?
The answer is yes! This is exactly what we did! We consulted Nexen and they are able to use the electrical wires from an existing power socket and install a power track based on your preferred location.
Here’s a photo collage of the progress of installation of the powertrack by Nexen, using an existing power socket. All the exposed wires will be covered by a PVC trunking. Is it the most aesthetic? Of course it would have been better if we had originally factored it into the electrical discussion. However, after living in the house for 1 year and as our first matrimonial home, we only realised our needs after living in the space for a while. Overall, we are still really pleased with the installation. The surface-mounted design makes it ideal for quick, non-invasive setup — no hacking, no mess, just instant power where you need it.
The last area where we have our 3rd and last power track installed is our kitchen. Mainly because cooking appliances will utilize quite a lot of power plugs. As we bake and cook frequently, this is a very high use kitchen counter. Permanently plugged into our Nexen power track is our Vertuo Latissima coffee machine from Nespresso! ☺️
Should you have any safety concerns regarding the powertrack, fret not! They are manufactured with premium materials and safety mechanisms that meet rigorous international standards. Nexen’s design keeps live conductors hidden, ensuring total peace of mind. Every plug also has a safety mark as well.
Sure, it may cost slightly more than conventional power sockets, but flexibility, aesthetics and modern finish and safety benefit will definitely outweigh the cost considerations!
