We have this Dyson V8! It is great for small spaces but if you have a larger home, consider a higher capacity model! You could also replace the motor! 
We only have one standing fan in our home and we chose Dyson! Good addition to the home for small spaces. If you did not know, you could look for remote control replacement. 
Also own the hairdryer too! There are different attachments to it too! Quick drying and hair is not too dry after. I like this attachment the best.
