An Open Letter to Our Interior Designer

If you've been following our posts on instagram, you'll know that francis did a stay over at our empty unrenovated place and found an issue with our shower screen placement in the toilet (see our IG @playertwos for more info!) We raised this up to our ID and what seemed like an impossible puzzle became the inspiration for our unique triangle countertop design. It's amazing how a skilled designer can turn constraints into creative opportunities that actually enhance the space. 
One thing we absolutely loved about our ID was her openness to feedback and last-minute changes. When 2c fell in love with her cat tile, she initially wanted them on the floor. But much to francis’ relief, our designer had a way better suggestion that was able to cater to his minimalistic taste. 
Considering how we had no theme or moodboard, we would probably rank ourselves as nightmare clients LOL. How do you capture someone's vision when they don't even know what they want? When our ID came up with the initial design of our toilet, we rejected it completely. Our ID took it in stride, went back and created something entirely new. We think the ability to be able to start over from zero is something extremely admirable and we truly respect our ID for that. Looking at our bathroom now, it's hard to believe it started from such uncertainty. The ability to begin with a blank slate and create something that feels so perfectly tailored to our style is what separates a good designer from a great one. 
Finding an ID who can adapt, innovate, and truly listen makes all the difference between a house and a home!
