It’s that time of the year… to reflect on all the things we didn’t get to do this year 🤣
We may have completed our reno two years ago, but the truth is, there are many parts of our house we never got around to properly planning because of all the decision fatigue we had. We thought we’d save them for “future house projects” but as you can tell from the post title, they are still very much in the future 😅
So here’s what we plan to do next year and may this post keep us accountable - to a better home and less laziness in 2026!
We’re embarrassed to say this remains the state of our DB box even after living here for two years 🙈
Never got around to fixing it up during the reno process - but this year we’re thinking of getting some shelves in so we can store our less frequently used shoes and other items!
You can probably tell from our ironing corner that we hate ironing 🤣 the current set up we have is a random clothes rack (idk why it’s so huge?!) and our steam iron - but we’re hoping to give this space more structure and organisation (and remove that random table at the back 🤣)
Perhaps a mirror with a clothes hanging portion too for those OOTDs :)
Initially built this little display box to showcase the beautiful cups we were going to buy, but all that’s there now is a couple of glasses and imaginary cups 🤣
We’re figuring out ways to utilise this space more - maybe it might not even be cup storage! We realised we built the shelf too deep so the cups either get “lost” and unseen at the back, or sit awkwardly at the front. Perhaps snack and coffee storage would be a better idea here 🤔
Duck has short legs - not something she’s proud of LOL but that also means her feet never touch the floor when she’s sitting on her chair.
So… she’s using a random stool (that is definitely the wrong height) to prop up her legs while she works, but it’s not a long term solution 🥲
Goals for next year? Get a proper footstool and clean up those dangling cables at the back for greater spine health and peace of mind 🤣
