Today we are sharing all about lighting! π‘
Finally understand what people say about lighting making or breaking the overall look.
Just look at the difference here when white light is turned on, instantly looks less cosy π
We got SMART lights for few areas in the house to allow us to switch to white light and adjust the dimness if needed - living room, kitchen, 1 light above the master bedroom dressing table. Meanwhile, all other lights are non-SMART, 1 tone in warm only.
These recessed downlights from Verde lighting for our living room look so good, although costly π₯² When the lights are on, it looks super flushed with the false ceiling!
As we only did false ceiling for the living area, all other areas with no false ceiling would use normal (protruding kind) downlights. They can still be SMART if needed to allow you to adjust the tones.
We have a simple 1.6m pendent light in warm tone above our 2.4m island. The casing is in white which matches our ceiling fan, speaker and other appliances.
The bedroom looks so cosy with warm lighting, literally like in a hotel room π
P/S: Although we did SMART lights for some areas, we honestly donβt even adjust it to white light so far. Its like we instantly got used to warm lights even though we have been living with normal white lights our whole lives π
We installed 2 downlights (instead of 1) for the master bathroom as the size is slightly bigger than the common. However, we noticed that actually turning on the LED in the box-up only is already bright enough!
