Here's how we styled for Christmas in Casito Chan! Family and friend get-togethers are regular events in our house, and we enjoy putting together a beautiful Christmas table to add to the mood and ambience. For a party, we pull out our dining table and extend it so more people can sit together and have a meal. A Japanese-style table runner , potted plants, fairy lights and candle mini-pots complete the mood. A Christmas tree sits next to the kids' playroom, looking very much like a Santa elf hideout. We favour very simple, earthy colours for our Christmas tree. A tree skirting is essential for hiding the bottom of the tree. Simple, earthy and gold tones adorn our tree. The pièce de résistance is the holly garland draped over the kitchen bar light. The colour and shape of the holly leaves and the way its suspended in such a dramatic fashion in the centre of the open kitchen really sets a strong Christmas ambience. Thats it for Christmas efforts this year! We may try something different next year :)
