Located right next to the entryway, our kitchen is designed as an open-concept space that flows effortlessly into the rest of our living area. With a sleek black and metallic finish, we’ve kept the design minimalistic, featuring fully integrated kitchen appliances from Fisher & Paykel for a seamless look that complements our overall aesthetic. 
You might remember the metallic material from last week’s post about our coffee nook. We decided to carry the same finish into the kitchen. It ties the two spaces together, creating a cohesive and modern look throughout our home. 
This kitchen is the result of a complete overhaul from the original setup in the condo. The previous kitchen was outdated and didn’t fit with our vision for a modern, cohesive space. We decided to start from scratch, redesigning the entire layout to better suit our needs and style. The transformation was significant, turning a standard condo kitchen into a sleek, functional space. 
When it came to choosing appliances, Fisher & Paykel was our go-to. We wanted appliances that would blend effortlessly into the design, and Fisher & Paykel offers some of the most seamlessly integrated options on the market. From the fridge and range hood to the hob and microwave oven, every appliance fits perfectly into our kitchen’s aesthetic. One of the standout features is the range hood – it’s so sleek that you can even admire it from the side! 
One of our favorite additions is the Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher. It’s the only brand that offers this unique design, and it’s been a game-changer for us. The drawer style is incredibly convenient, making loading and unloading dishes a breeze. Plus, it fits right in with our kitchen’s minimalist vibe. For the countertop and backsplash, we chose KompacPlus Fenix in black. This material is not only durable and easy to maintain, but it also complements the overall look of the kitchen, adding a touch of sophistication and practicality. 
To make the most of our cabinet space, we added overhead shelving units that can be easily pulled out and down. This clever design ensures that we can reach everything we need without straining, making our kitchen both functional and efficient. We hope you enjoyed this peek into our modern kitchen!
