Welcome back to the tofu house! This week, the tofus are going to share about the tiniest room in their house: the study room! Due to the constraints of their house plan, the tofus had to make the study room much smaller to carve out space for the dining area. This was how the study room first looked like before they furnished it! They also made the surprising choice of adding blackout curtains as they had intentions to use this as a darkroom for their film photography in the future ~ This was taken while the study room was relatively tidy and the tofus had just moved in the main furniture! As you can see, they opted not to do any built-in furniture here as they wanted flexibility to convert this room in future for other purposes. It also brought down the overall renovation costs, as carpentry tends to be expensive. A closer look at Tofu G's work space setup! He has quite a few electronics here as he likes to do creative digital work and needs bigger monitors for clearer display. P.S. the tofus also have a nice view of green trees from their study room window! A photo of Tofu G hard at work in the study room designing the tofus' angpaos! One thing that the tofus are immensely proud of in their study room is this adjustable standing desk that they got from Taobao! They had initially explored some local brands but found them too expensive, so they were very happy to find one that works at a much lower price. The tofus are also very particular about their thrones (chairs) as they often sit for long hours while they are working, hence they invested in comfortable gaming chairs from Secretlab! Tofu V's workspace is a bit simpler with no monitors as she only works with her laptop, but she likes to spruce up her space with lots of cute decor! She likes to switch up the table decor once in a while, depending on her mood and what new items she gets ~ The tofus are into photography and have quite a few cameras, which they have kept securely in a dry box in their study room as well. Signing off this post with a look at the dining room and kitchen from the study room! It was a pretty unconventional choice to have the study room directly next to the kitchen and dining area, however the tofus have found this pretty convenient as they could easily grab or prepare food without having to walk too far - oops!
