Carpentry is up!! *yay*
The carpentry team was shorthanded and the wait took slightly more than a month. Now that carpentry is almost done, the rest of the works can move on too!
I chose a non-drip profile. I heard quite some "huh? why?" replies when I said I wanted a non-drip.
Several reasons. One, water wouldn't drip. (duh, it is supposed to be non-dripπ) Two, eggs wouldn't roll off the edges. I no longer have to take a extra bowl or find the table cloth for it just to keep it in position. Third, it acts as a grip for support when I have to squat down to take something from the lower cabinet.
Let me know if you think it makes sense.
I definitely thinks it made sense π
The overall look is so cute and clean!! I installed a super big kitchen sink and no regrets! I think the size will be perfect for me whenever there's a steamboat session.
Here's the other part of carpentry - room doors!
As mentioned in the previous post, the original doors were spoilt with no lock and big holes in the middle, so I had no choice but to change them. My ID had their in-house carpentry, and that means any design is possible. So, we went wild. Part of me was being "hiao" I admit, but part of me wanted to spread some daylight/ceiling lights light to that corner. That corner was a few shades darker previously. Now, looking good!
Look at how cute they turn out!
It's tempered glass, by the way! Hopefully it is as long-lasting as I imagine it should be!
