HomeA Peek into Our Japandi-Inspired Living Room
Welcome to our living room — the cosy heart of our home and where we wind down after a long day! We kept the colour palette neutral, with wood tones and whites that align with the Japandi theme running through the rest of our space. Fun fact: no built-in fixtures were added here as we wanted the flexibility to style and shift things around as we go. In one corner, you’ll find an armchair tucked next to our standing lamp, creating a little reading nook in the space. We especially love the gentle glow from our IKEA floor lamp - so much so that we’ve been turning it on more often than the main lights! Our 2.3m L-shaped sofa gives us all the room we need to sprawl out, host friends comfortably, or curl up for movie nights. Paired with a rounded travertine coffee table, this setup is equal parts functional and aesthetically pleasing. Opposite the sofa sits our console table from Taobao that comes with more hidden storage than meets the eye. (Can you guess where the drawers are? 🤭) Leaving you with a few personal touches around our home — we’ve always had a love for ceramics and recently started dabbling in pottery. Here are some of the very first pieces we made and we can’t wait to grow this collection over time! Curious to see more? Head over to our IG @jesskaiy for more updates! :)
