Hi everyone! We’re from TheKho.me 🏠 👋
We live in a 4-bedder resale condo, about 1300 sqft in size.
Overall, we prioritise practicality over aesthetics — with two active kids, things just need to work and be easy to clean! 😄
Before we dive into the photos, let’s first take a look at our floor plan.
We’re really fortunate to have a fairly spacious balcony, so we decided to place our dining table there — eating with a view makes every meal feel special!
Our home layout is pretty straightforward: a master bedroom, a kids’ sleeping room, a playroom, and a workroom.
We used to have a WC in the yard, but we converted the space to house our washer and dryer instead.
We went heavy on built-ins here — a lesson learned from our previous flat, where we had too little storage. With two kids now, we made sure there’s space to hide everything!
That’s our shoe cabinet, extra storage, and a small corner space I love, though I think we could still optimise its use.
Our 55-inch TV came from the old house and still works perfectly. Honestly, it’s a little underutilised since we rarely watch TV when the kids are awake.
I recently fell in love with Popmart’s Cry Babies, and since we don’t have a display cabinet, I decided to showcase them on our TV console/feature wall instead 😆
The space below the TV is super practical — it’s where the kids place their school bags, and guests can drop off their bags too.
The seats on our sofa are adjustable, which we keep extended most of the time because it’s just too comfy to fold back!
As mentioned, our balcony is quite spacious — so that’s where we placed our dining table. We love eating while enjoying the view, breeze, and natural light.
This setup also freed up more space in the living room!
We have both a dry and wet kitchen, and this is the pantry area.
It’s where I have my daily cup of coffee that fuels my day!
On the other side of the dry kitchen, we placed our dish washer, water dispenser and what took up most of the space are the kids’s bottle sterilizer, a drying rack and a basket that keeps all the all items like the pacifier, small food containers etc.
With the separation of the dry and wet kitchen, we can close the door when doing heavy cooking.
We also installed a power track system, which has been super useful. It lets us move appliances around easily.
Another upgrade we love is switching to an induction stove. Cleanup is so much easier! It did take a little time to get used to, but we have zero regrets!
I love that our kitchen is half glassed, letting us look out to the living room while cooking — perfect for keeping an eye on the kids.
Oh — and our fridge setup is a slightly different from the usual. We actually bought two identical fridges and configured them to look like a French-door fridge.
The main reason - to avoid cross-contamination between raw and ready to eat food.
Love this three-tier basket rack in our yard — it helps keep everything nice and organised! The kids use the baskets on the floor so it’s easier for them to toss their clothes in.
We’ve also got a matching three-tier trolley for all the random items we need in the yard/ kitchen.
We requested for the mirror to align perfectly with the bottom cabinet, and also made sure it’s a single piece instead of two. I just don’t like it when the mirror splits my reflection in half!
The only downside is that we had to give up storage behind the mirror — the “door” would have been too big and heavy otherwise.
The shower area is kept pretty simple.
We really like the piano key shower set — though I’m still not sure how easy they’ll be to maintain 😅
Also, can I just say… I love my tiles!!
Our design of our master toilet is similar to the common toilet but we have more table top space because it’s bigger in size.
Oh yes, we topped up abit for the table top to be the same as our kitchen table top.

Right now, the kids have their own playroom, but we plan to convert it into their bedroom when they’re older so each gets their own personal space. That’s why we didn’t install any built-ins — it gives us flexibility later on.
We placed the mattresses directly on the floor for safety. The kids love to jump around, so no bedframes = fewer accidents!
They also tend to roll around in their sleep, so this setup prevents any falls.
Our master bedroom is simple — still a work in progress. We’re missing a bedside table, and the chest of drawers (which was meant for the kids’ clothes) ended up here temporarily. It was supposed to be my dressing table/side table, but oh well… we’ll wait it out! 😅
That’s about it for our home tour!
Thanks for following along as I rambled on 😆 Stay tuned for our upcoming posts — we’ll be sharing more about the little wins, misses, and ongoing tweaks around our home!
