Welcome to our nest! We are so excited to finally be living in a house that is thoughtfully planned by us! It has been a whirlwind to make this possible in a span of 3 months. So this home of ours is still full of possibilities! After staying in a house for 6 years, we wanted to move to a place with space since we have expanded our family. Mister is always in love with minimalist but we had to remind him that it is near to impossible to go for that theme when we have kids. We decided on Modern Farmhouse after surfing the different themes on pinterest and chancing upon Studio McGee for inspiration. We're not saying that we have crafted a house that looks exactly like one, but we highly recommend browsing their collections if you are going to build a modern farmhouse of your own. Here's a floorplan of our lower floor. Can you spot three different floorings next to each other! We're mighty pleased with how it turned out! This is where we will gather the family together for meals. Having children meant lots of home cooking. This is Mister's domain. Nobody mess it up or you stand in punishment corner. Mister is doing coffee business so this bar is one of our highlights! This countertop is of a custom height to make coffee prep easier! We can't wait to show you the little sink. We're spoilt by HDB BTO's provision of the laundry yard. We made our own little yard in this resale, where you enter through a little arch from the kitchen. Here's our little nursery for seedlings in our yard, protected from the weather. ...and a sneak at the powder room next to the laundry A little sideboard in between the dining and living area, at our corridor. We have secrets inside these drawers. This spot is...... our lazy spot. Maybe the displaces are not what you anticipate but you can almost tell that this house is a home with kids. We had the option of enclosing this space to make it part of a sheltered living space but we opted for an outdoor space! Are we ready to head upstairs? upstairs, we will have three rooms with two baths. Our master bedroom has been divided by us to cater space for a walk in wardrobe mess. This one! This is an ikea showroom. everything is from Ikea! We can't wait to show you details in future posts! Can you tell who uses this bathroom more?
