A minimalist Christmas tree inspired by our cat 🎀

This is our second year using this Christmas tree we bought from Taobao! We like our tree bare and minimal without any ornaments, but this year I added a tuxedo cat plushie as our tree topper, inspired by our cat, Oreo! A minimalist tree also saves us time having to take down our tree and space to keep all the ornaments! The fairy lights were already installed when we received it, so we really saved a lot of time! 
Didn’t like all the tree collars available so I decided to get a big pot! Filled it with old towels as the “soil” to support the tree. 
Time to fluff the tree up! 
All ready in no time! To be honest, without the original X stand as the base, the tree is not 100% stable. So only try this if you’re sure your kids or pets are not going to jump onto the tree! 
Oreo doesn’t look too pleased… but don’t worry, she’s not going to be on our tree! 
Tadah! Oreo’s doppelgänger with a big fat bow to finish everything off 💝 Love how magical it looks in the dark too!
