Hello there! My name is Zerick, 25, and I’m currently a final year design student at LASALLE College of the Arts! I’m also presently working as a freelance designer as well. A little background into my room, I’ve been staying in here ever since I was a baby. This room was where I started to develop my interest in the arts as well.
I wanted a space where I can truly be inspired and motivated, so I’ve put a lot of emphasis on making my room as comfortable as possible without feeling like I’m at work 24/7. I installed mood lighting so that I can change the colour of my room based on how I felt that day.
I’m also a huge tech geek, I’ve linked up most of my smart devices to Google Home to automate most of these processes. A huge plus to personalisation! After a long day at school or work, I’ll always look forward to going back to my room to game or just to chill out.
I don’t operate well with clutter, so I keep my items sorted and stored neatly in my room. I recently installed these hooks from IKEA next to my door so that it allows me to just hook up my day bags and jackets I wore for the day, keeping it for ease of access basically.
I also have a small area for my going out preparations. I can easily pick my clothes, check out the fit and wax my hair all in one corner without moving about too much. It’s all it an arm’s grasp.
This is where I rest, and honestly my favourite part of the room (because I love to lounge in bed). It gets the most sunlight and also where I read before I sleep. I love how my bed has a backdrop to the weather we have; cosy during the rainy seasons and brilliant during sunsets. Thanks for checking out my room!
