Welcome to the place of morning routines and where I catch a break from working at home to cook up meals and grab my caffeine fixes. The aesthetic of the kitchen is built on the combination of hardwearing materials consisting of stainless steel countertops, terracotta tiles and birchwood veneer. I love how the natural wood grain and earthy tones complement each other in this space, and to give it some contrast I added alot of metal textures in the form of the blinds, stainless steel countertops and shelves. This is where my ultimate morning routine takes place with my beloved VA single group head coffee machine, this keeps me sane and keeps me going when work is crazy and I have a ton of assignments to work on. This is your daily reminder to have a cuppa. This is where I display and keep my collection of beans from my travels, as I love to have a chat with baristas from around the world. Currently I have beans from Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore as most of my recent travels have been in Southeast Asia, where I would say the coffee scene is extremely vibrant. This is the common toilet, or guest toilet that is part of the kitchen. My flat was built in the late 1980s so the layout of the kitchens back then were very spacious and I absolutely love it. The common toilet that draws inspiration from jotter books we 90s kids used to use back in primary school. Facing the common toilet is the beautful screed wall and cabinetry that hides the rubbish chute. The jotter book inspiration carries on to the back splash. Love the blue grout lines. I'm a big fan of my ID's work (shout out to No Sense Studio) and he uses a lot of wire glass, which I have grown to love. Hence I asked for plain aluminium doors to keep in consistency with the theme, paired with frosted wire glass. These blinds are amazing and I got them in the C shape variant where you have a touch more control in the amount of light you let into the space. Price reflected is for the whole home, as they charge based on measurements. Love the backsplash and I wanted to have a touch of colour, hence carrying on the jotter book theme with blue grout lines for the entire length of the backsplash.
