This has to be one of the non-regrets that we chose to renovate for our house - the standing vanity desk! I generally stand to get ready and thus a standing area with sufficient lighting and storage was a must for me. 
This is how the vanity desk looks like from a straight on view - and has some tall unit next to it for bags and extra items. We had to also hack slightly into the spare room, but it was something we were willing to do and shown in the next picture 
This is how much space we ate away in the other spare bedroom to build the vanity desk 
It was also important that there were enough power plugs available for charging phone and appliances like hair dryer and curler. We upgraded by getting Legrand switches 
The table is also flip up - another feature I love to easily access any make up items and put it away so the countertop keeps clean! 
The mirror has 3 lighting options for different tones, which was great if we needed it brighter in the morning. Hope you liked seeing our vanity area as much as we like using it!
