Welcoming you to the warmness and earthy vibes of our home ! Living in our humble abode with our two young children. We received our keys for our new 4 room bto around six years ago. Back then, we renovated our house for only $35K. The budget may seems to be low and too good to be true today, but this happened back in 2016. Our home theme changes by time. We are able to convert our home design without changing the architecture as the years goes on. As for now, our theme is a modern boho with many rattan elements and wooden furnitures. The neutral hues and vibes give the house a calmness and warmness whenever we enter the home.

Here’s the floorplan of our house. We are fortunate enough to get a spacious living room for a typical bto flat and separate dining room. Back then when we applied for our bto, there is no option for a open or closed concept kitchen. Since we need all the space, we decided to hack the kitchen wall.

We hacked our kitchen wall to make it an open-concept kitchen. It was the best decision ever as it really open up the area ! While the main reason was to make it look spacious, it adds as other functional purposes.

Behind the counter is the kitchen sink. We even shifted the sink which was supposed to be beside the stove to the other side of the kitchen. So this overlooks the whole house and at the same time, we can keep a look out for our kids while doing the dishes. Spacious yet functional !

Here is the overview from the kitchen to our living room. I love how this space allows me to be flexible with my furnishing and decor. Even after staying here for six years, this house is still a work in progress.
