Living in an HDB flat doesn’t mean you have to give up on aesthetics or comfort. With smart planning and thoughtful design, even a modest 3-room layout can feel expansive and elegant. 🏡✨
We spent a lot of time rethinking our floor plan, making sure every corner works hard and looks good. Swipe through for several small details that made a huge difference in our home!
We used light tones across ash white walls and light & walnut-toned furniture to create a calm, cozy living room that feels much larger than its actual size.
Everything was planned down to the inch on our floor plan — no overbuilt cabinets, just functional and clean. 🏡✨
One of our favourite hidden upgrades in the living room: turning the original DB box area into functional storage.
Instead of leaving it as a plain panel or an eyesore, we extended the carpentry and built a full-height cabinet with hidden shelves — perfect for storing cables, tools, and random everyday items or even for shoes.
It blends seamlessly into the space and makes use of every inch of our compact 3rm flat. Definitely a small hack that goes a long way! 🤎✨
The brightest spot in the house — literally ✨
We chose Hush White for the walls to reflect natural light and brighten up the kitchen, since we wanted to avoid a yellowish tint.
Everything here is designed with function in mind — compact storage, clean lines, and light surfaces to keep things airy.
This was the most practical decision and one we’re still grateful for every day!
This cozy little coffee corner sits right by our entryway cabinet — simple, functional, and a daily joy ☕️
We deliberately kept the space minimal: just a small tray to hold our coffee machine, mugs, and a few everyday essentials, along with some decor pieces to style the open shelves.
What makes it extra satisfying is that it’s the first thing we see when we enter, and also the first stop every morning.
Big or small, having a dedicated coffee corner really adds that sense of home. 🤎
