We don’t have a partition in our shower area, so water tends to pool. Using this squeegee helps the water drain much faster, and we’ve made it a habit to use it after every shower since moving in. This helps to our toilet to dry faster. 💨
In the first few weeks, Mrs noticed pink stains on the toilet floor. She thought it was shampoo residue—but nope, it was pink mould. 😭
One reason why we don't have a seperation between shower and toliet/ sink is
1) ease of cleaning (with just few swipes using the squeegee)
2) it makes the shower space smaller
We installed a ventilation fan only in the master bathroom as it’s the one we use daily—and it’s helped so much with airflow and keeping humidity down. 🙌
We switch it on during showers and leave it on for few hours. It doesn't cost so much to leave it on. :)
Another game changer is this mini dehumidifier! Small and compact, it’s easy to move around the house, though we mostly use it in the storeroom. You’d be surprised by how much water it collects—keeping our bomb shelter dry, fresh, and mould-free.
PSA: You should use a dehumidifier with the door closed because it works most effectively in a contained space!!
