Hello! Here we're sharing 3 minor renovation regrets that we hope you don't make! 😉
Countertop height regret! For my 183cm husband, our current kitchen counter is too low. Wife is 158cm, an ideal would’ve been around 1m for both of us— now cooking and cleaning isn’t the most comfortable for the husband! ☹️
Kitchen motar base regret!
Make sure your kitchen mortar base is high enough for a robot vacuum to reach underneath. Ours isn’t, so we still have to clean the insides every now and then. ☹️ At least our MBR cupboards are raised higher! 🤣
This was overlooked by our ID/ carpenters and us! Some things can slip through—like this one door, where you have to open the top right side before you can open the left. We only realized this at the end of reno.
Our ID offered to modify it by cutting the top portion into a separate piece, but that would mean dismantling the section and taking it back to their workshop etc. We decided to live with it, since we had already moved in and didn’t want the hassle of scheduling carpenters again—especially with our busy schedules and limited time off.
