1 Year In — Still Thankful For The Little Things That Work For Us
13518
Can’t believe it’s been a year since we moved in! Lately I’ve been thinking about the things that really worked out in our reno — the everyday details we still use and appreciate today. Just thought I’d share a few favourites, in case you’re also planning or living through your own reno journey: 🚿 Our shower niche One of the best practical decisions. We use it every single day — no bottles on the floor, no awkward corners. Just neat, clean, and super functional. Also, shoutout to those considering doing mitre joints, please do! 💡 Our LED mirror This one really surprised us. The soft glow in the mornings and evenings feels quite shiok, like a small everyday luxury that we’ve grown to love. The best part? Built-in bluetooth speakers 😍 LED mirrors with curated tile selection *chefs kiss* 🍽️ The extended kitchen counter with dark grey sintered stone I’ll be honest, very honest, it does become a bit of a dumping ground 😅but also super functional. It’s where breakfast happens, groceries get unpacked, and coffee chats start. Sintered stone’s been great too — heatproof, stain-proof, and still looking good after one year. Perfect when we’re cooking up a storm and we can place our hot pots or pans on! I think over time I’ve come to appreciate that not everything needs to be styled 24/7. What matters more is whether the space fits how we really live. If you’ve renovated before — what’s one thing you’re still thankful you included?
