In our living room, we recently added a candle warmer that also serves as a cute lamp. There were a lot of modern and sleek designs available online, but I preferred a more classic design with a tulip glass shade, brass holder, and a marble base. I love how this adds so much more character to our tv console and still serving another function - to make our home smell nice.
This floor lamp was one that we found at our estate which someone threw away. While the main body is a little wobbly, it was still functional for us as we just had to replace the lightbulbs. Just one floor lamp alone itโs able to light up our entire common area space. While we still love it, we think itโs time to swap out for another floor lamp that adds more colour to our space.
From the very beginning, I knew I wanted lights above our kitchen counter top. Just using the overhead ceiling lighting personally, I found that itโs not enough light to see what Iโm doing on our countertop. We have no regrets adding this, though would probably have preferred a brighter led strip.
This is our pendant light right above our kitchen. We turn this on when we need more light in the space. This pendant was actually bought off from Carousell for $20. I still think that this was such a steal and I love how it fits our space so well.
Our room corridor is quite small. So, we donโt really have much going on here. This ceiling light is from IKEA. It does not exist in Singapore anymore but I love how this light creates such an ambience to our space.
Similarly, we allso have the same track lights in our entryway since it was really affordable and honestly, a really easy choice for us to make back then during the reno period.
In our master bedroom, we kept things simple and had this pendant light. We would have preferred something else, but since it was one of the cheapest, we just went with it. Though, it ended up costing a lot more because the installation for a pendant light alone was more than the cost of our light.
In our service yard, we have this 2-in-1 ceiling light fan. In real life, the light is really bright and enough to cover the entire space. The fan is super handy to have when we are hanging our laundry because it does become a sport when thereโs no wind. ๐ฅต
Weโve had himalayan salt lamps for as long as we can remember. I love how warm it makes my space look. Although, we always have to keep this on at least 8 hours a day to prevent the salt from melting. If placed on furniture, the salt and heat may damage the surface if not protected. I have a fixed timer for it to turn on so I donโt have to worry about it melting/crying.
During our reno, we had a group buy for our lights in our toilets. This is an additional light in the toilet which replaces the mesh covering the ceiling box above. Even though this is a really common light feature in many houses these days, I do highly recommend having this installed because just the ceiling light alone makes the toilet feel moody/dark/stale. Personally, I only have these lights turned on when I use the bathrooms! My astigmatism eyes could not handle the dim ceiling lights alone.
