Did you know?
1. HDB BTO doesn't provide a window at the service yard.
2. A permit is needed to install windows. Your window supplier should be able to do that for you.
3. Window frame/grill colour should be the same as the original provided by HDB. This is to maintain a consistent facade for the block.
4. Standard colours are bronze/silver. If your estate's windows are not these colours, you'll need to do a top-up for powder coating. When we did our research, the top-up was about $60 across different suppliers.
5. Think about which direction you want to open the window! Will it block some of your appliances? Will it be difficult to open? For us, we went with left-to-right kind of opening because we put our fridge on the right. When slid open fully, it will protect our fridge from rain or shine!
