Many people have shown interest in our dry pantry so we thought we’d share a little more about why we chose it and why we chose to put it there! 🤩
We bought it off Taobao and it felt pretty expensive when we saw the price point but it definitely made a lot more sense than doing any built-in carpentry for the area because I was worried we’d get bored and want to try new things with the space but couldn’t later 🥲😩
Modular space lovers will definitely enjoy something like this!
To explain why we bought it, we’ll show the original state of the kitchen when we viewed the house.
The storeroom was within the kitchen and the visible wood beam border outside was where the original glass doors would be.
We were worried this would make my living and dining area look smaller so we decided to push the glass doors to where the blue cabinets are and convert the external area into a dry pantry (we’re glad it worked out too!!!)
We did push back the showroom by a little as the dry pantry was a bit wide width wise at 1.9m but otherwise, really no big changes had to be made to accommodate it!
We especially love that the back of it has a magnetic peg board to hang notices or cute posters, and that it has a working electric track there for us to plug in lamps or appliances if we need to use them 🥹💕
