For a couple of reason, we have decide to get a resale 2 room HDB - for 2 humans and a frenchie.
There is not one person who was not shock or surprise when they hear our layout where we have no "bedroom".
There also isn't much 2 room sharing here, so I guess this might be something refreshing.
This is our original floor plan. Nothing special, a typical 2 room HDB.
We decided to get the place in Jan and seller requested for 3 months extension. Of cos with the HDB procedures and all, it will be definitely more than 3 months. So we had a lot of time to keep changing our layout and also find out what's possible/what's not.
We are also not going the ID route mainly to save cost and.. there really isn't much things to design - we want a simple and functional place that suit our lifestyle.
We decided to convert the original bedroom to utility room. This house also does not have a bomb shelter which means we have no "hidden storage".
The original living room will be our sleeping and living area.
Kitchen and toilet remain, except we will be closing one door.
In the utility room, we will be having our wardrobe, laundry area as well as storage.
For living room, it will be our sleeping and living area. We will also be sleeping on the floor which we will share more on why later.
"Then what if people wants to visit?!"
As we will be sleeping on the floor we can easily keep our "beds" away. our furnitures are also moveable.
We are nearing the end of our reno, so stick around to see the exact thing unfolds! :)
