Here’s a look at the main part of our kitchen where all the cooking happens 👩🏻🍳
We have a built-in oven and microwave, specially designed at eye level so we don’t need to squat when taking things in and out of the oven. We don’t have a lot of requirements for the ovens so we just listened to the salesperson recommendation and got something within our budget. Ended up with mostly Whirlpool kitchen appliances 😅
Then there is a space catered for 2x fridges. Yes these are 2 separate fridges placed together to create a french-door configuration, and our switches are hidden at the cabinet above. We keep our dry products in one and the raw food in the other, to avoid cross contamination.
We really love the white color and matte texture of the LG fridges!
We have a row of protruding cabinets above to conceal a small pipe. Our ID suggested making it protrude all the way so that it looks better.
There are drawers done underneath the hob which some might not agree with as induction could generate heat. But we don’t really have a choice as there are no other places to do drawers in our kitchen anymore and of cos drawers are a must!
We did thought of asking our ID to add cutout/vents at this area but it was too late as the carpentry was already done 🤦🏻♀️ But not too bad, the inner shallow cutlery drawer isn’t that hot, so we will just try to open and air the drawer after cooking when we remember.
Beside the drawers we also have quite a wide spice rack (on the right). We use this to store other dry goods and canned food as well since our sauces and condiments alone cannot fill up the shelf.
We are also using Whirlpool induction hob and hood here. For sintered stone, we went with a more simple design while the backsplash is a glass one.
