AI has been a huge help during our pre-reno phase — especially when we wanted to visualise small tweaks without waiting for drafts. here’s how we prompt smarter to get clearer, more accurate results 👇
1️⃣ give context always start by stating what the image is. the clearer the context, the more accurate the edits.
2️⃣ state your goal — what you want changed (and what must stay) be specific: • “remove the top cabinets above the sink” • “change the island countertop to white quartz” • “keep the flooring and window positions unchanged” AI works best when you give both the do and the don’t.
3️⃣ describe materials, not design jargon instead of “make it more japandi”, try: • “light oak wood flooring” • “white zellige backsplash” • “matte black hardware” material terms are much easier for ai to understand.
4️⃣ bonus tip — daily limits are real most tools have usage caps, so don’t be shy — switch between different platforms or even multiple accounts if you need more tries 😂 💡 AI not here to replace your interior designer — but it is great for brainstorming faster, communicating what’s in your head, and exploring more ideas before committing.
