We’ve been living in olive for about 4 months now, and one of the areas we’ve been wanting to improve is our dry pantry — it’s where we start our mornings with matcha/hojichas, do our random late-night bakes, and preparing meals whenever we host family and friends. We started off thinking regular power points were more than enough. Over time, we realised just how much we actually use this space — between the toaster, stand mixer, kettle, timemore kettle for matcha, and the occasional rice cooker or induction pot, the clutter of wires was getting a little too real. As our collection of kitchen gadgets grew (but not our power points), a small interior spruce-up felt long overdue. We installed the Nexen Slim Surface + in Cherry, and it’s been such a game changer. The colour blends beautifully with our laminates, and we love how customisable it is — you can add as many adaptors as you need, wherever you need them. Just pick a spot along the track, plug it in, and switch on. We placed ours right at the dry pantry, and it’s made all the difference — no more fighting over sockets or messy extension cords. Now everything’s neat, functional, and ready for everyday use. As we continue refining olive, little upgrades like this remind us that innovation and efficiency don’t have to be complicated — just thoughtful, functional, and easy to weave into daily life 🩶
