It’s advisable to view the big slabs especially if you are getting those with marbling as it will look different then the small samples just like tiles.
But do bear in mind that each piece will also be of different marbling.
The big piece behind is of quartz material, in fact their quartz range are very nice. One thing to note about quartz is that they will discolour in time to come.
IQuartz are very generous to provide you with samples so you can do your own stress tests at home.
Tried out a little durability test with one piece of quartz and two sintered stone samples (matte & glossy).
✨ Test 1: Water
Both passed, but the glossy sintered stone left water marks. If you don’t mind the upkeep, glossy is stunning—but not my pick.
🔥 Test 2: Heat
I placed a burning stick on the surface. The sintered stone mark wiped off easily the next day, but the quartz was permanently scarred. That sealed the deal for me—clear winner!
Now it’s down to choosing which matte sintered stone design I love most. Stay tuned for the reveal!
