Here is the first post of my before and after series, featuring the "rooms". 
First is the living room! For a minimal look, we took down all built-ins and replaced it with a simple floor tv console. Psssst the tv console is actually a DIY project of ours, which is featured in our living room post ;) 
We also took down the window grilles. No grilles definitely look better! 
Next is the master bedroom. 
We also took down all the built-ins to open up the space. 
Instead of installing back a built-in cabinet, we decided on a modular wardrobe system, closed in by a bifold sliding door. This also helped us cover up the aircon ledge window. 
Last is my study room! 
We mostly opt for no built-ins for flexibility, and also cause we like the look of it!
