A sneak into our Pinterest moodboard!

When we started looking for our very first home, the first thing we did was to put together a moodboard on Pinterest. Why the moodboard was improtant before even getting keys to our house was because we are better able to view houses with a vision in our heads. The types of windows we like, the shape of the rooms as well as how open we want the house to be! All these were improtant considerations to us! Let me show you some photos saved in our Pinterest board!!! 😬 
We did not have a specific theme but instead we knew the vibe of what we wanted our home to have. We were also very very clear about what we DISLIKE (minimal houses, beige furniture and the color gold)! No hate to the styles we mentioned, just a personal preference for our own home hehe. Pinterest’s algorithm is really strong so once we found a photo we like, it was really easy to find others! 
We loved dark woods, colors and overall warm tones and lights! We did not get an ID so we had to also literally find photos of the exact things we wanted our to do so we can show our contractor! Traditional contractors may question some choices you have, but just insist and go ahead hahaha 
Something we will do differently is to slowly look for more vendors and contractors! There were many ideas that we really wanted but just didn’t have the time to plan both a house and a wedding at the same time! Still happy with how the house looks like though! ❤️❤️ 
One last photo of our moodboard that I think we followed quite closely! Irregular chairs, a giant bookshelf and warm lights!
